About Me
On a personal level:
My interest in new technologies, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence, multimedia, robotics, and energy, is a natural extension of my professional background. Outside of work, I’m passionate about board games, especially strategy games (with or without hidden roles) and management games. I also enjoy reading in all its forms: graphic novels, manga, and literature, with a particular fondness for science fiction. I'm also interested in indie video games, chess, and cinema.
I’ve been fortunate to travel extensively throughout my life, an activity I truly enjoy. Originally from Béthune, in the Pas-de-Calais region, I’ve had the opportunity to live in several French cities, including Lille, Metz, Strasbourg, and now Clermont-Ferrand. In addition to visiting many European countries, I’ve also had the chance to pursue both academic and professional experiences in Japan: in Yokohama, Fukuoka, and Tsukuba, which sparked a deep affection for the country and its culture.
I am also an avid hiker and racket sports enthusiast.
On a professional level:
Senior PhD and engineer and technical manager specializing in computer vision and data science. I lead strategic projects at the intersection of AI, medical software, and cloud computing. My role spans operational leadership, software development, scientific research, and regulatory compliance. I act as a bridge between clinical needs, technical requirements, and software quality standards.
I currently work in Clermont-Ferrand as a Data Science Technical Manager at SURGAR, a company developing augmented reality solutions for computer-assisted surgery. In this role, I oversee the technical design and implementation of a data collection and annotation pipeline, connecting partner hospitals to the company’s cloud infrastructure. I also manage the software integration of neural networks initially developed by the research team, and I contribute my expertise in computer vision and machine learning to various research and development projects. This position has given me solid knowledge of the medical software sector, particularly with regard to its legal and regulatory requirements.
About Me
When working in a team:
I thrive in collaborative environments, whether as a team member or a manager. I particularly value working with diverse profiles, where a variety of perspectives helps foster deeper insight and a more well-rounded understanding of a project’s challenges. Comfortable with scientific topics, I enjoy acting as a bridge between technical, development, and communication teams.
I'm passionate about science communication: I always strive to be both clear and patient, whether in a professional setting or during more informal discussions. In my free time, I often find myself getting carried away in lively conversations about various technologies, how they work or the history behind them.
Curious, versatile, and proactive, I fully commit to the projects I’m involved in. I also place great importance on the human side of teamwork, and I often enjoy spending time with my colleagues outside of work.
